Q: Is Landmark Cinemas affiliated with Famous Players or Cineplex Odeon?
A: No. Landmark Cinemas is a completely separate theatre chain not affiliated with any other chain(s).
Q: What are the theatre's regular hours of operation?
A: Theatre operating hours vary from location to location. Typically the box office will open at approximately 6:15 PM for evening shows and 12:15 PM for matinee performances. Please check with your local theatre for exact hours of operation.
Q: I am planning a birthday party. What are my options and how do I book my party?
A: All of our theatres offer great ways to bring the excitement of the movies to your birthday. Please contact your local theatre for more information.
Q: Can I rent the theatre for a meeting or special event I am planning?
A: Whether you are planning a seminar or want to have a private showing of a film for your school, youth group, or other organization, every one of our theatres can be rented for your next event! Please contact your local theatre manager for more information about rates and/or other special services to make your event a success.
Box office and ticket sales:
Q: Do your box office prices include taxes?
A: Yes. All of our box office and concession prices are shown with all applicable taxes included.
Q: Can I purchase movie tickets in advance?
A: Many of our locations are able to sell tickets in advance at the box office or through automated box office machines. Please contact your local theatre to see if advance tickets are available.
Q: How and when can I purchase gift certificates?
A: Gift certificates are available at our box office during regular box office hours. Many of our locations also have theatre gift certificates available at other local businesses during hours when the box office is closed. Please contact your local theatre to find out where you can purchase gift certificates in your town.
Q: Can I use my gift certificates to get into a pass restricted movie?
A: Landmark Cinemas gift certificates are good for admittance to ANY performance (seat availability and film classification apply), even pass restricted films.
Q: What is Landmark Cinemas refund policy?
A: Landmark Cinemas offers a ½ hour money back 'guarantee' on all of our films. If, during the first ½ hour of the movie you are not satisfied for ANY reason you may exchange your ticket at the box office for admittance to another film of your choice (subject to seat availability and classification), or obtain a full refund of the admission price in exchange for your ticket stub.
Concessions:
Q: What kind of oil do you use to cook your popcorn?
A: All Landmark Cinemas locations use pure Canola oil, low in saturated fat and cholesterol to pop our corn. We have found that the oil we use offers the absolute best tasting popcorn AND it's healthier!
Q: Can I make requests for items I would like to be able to purchase at the concession?
A: If there is ever an item that isn't available, that you would like to see at the concession, please speak with the manager of your local theatre. Unfortunately we can't always carry every item requested but it never hurts to ask and we always try to carry the sorts of items our customers enjoy while watching their movie!
General 'Movie Theatre' Questions:
Q: What it 'Dolby Stereo'?
A: Dolby Stereo is a 5.1 channel stereo sound system. The left, right, and centre channels provide the sounds from behind the screen. The left surround, and right surround channels provide all the sounds from the back and sides of the theatre, and the subwoofer channel is the '.1 channel' providing the deep rumbling bass.
Q: What is 'Digital Sound' or 'Digital Stereo'?
A: Digital sound offer fantastic sound quality. 6 (sometimes 8) separate channels offer crystal clear, CD quality sound, allowing you to experience the film the way the director intended.
